What Brightdata Pack is

Brightdata Pack is a plugin published in the jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace repository on GitHub, which has about 2.8k stars. The repository describes itself as: “Model-agnostic agent-skills platform with a harness-free canonical layer, verified adapters, and the ccpi package manager. Explore at tonsofskills.com.”

A plugin is a package that bundles skills, slash commands, subagents, hooks, and MCP connectors so they install together. Plugins are plain files with a manifest at .claude-plugin/plugin.json, and they work in both Claude Code and Claude Cowork.

Installing Brightdata Pack adds everything it ships in one step. Connectors inside a plugin still need to be connected separately, and hooks and subagents only run in Cowork and Claude Code, not in regular chat.

What It Does

This pack helps Claude Code design, test, review, and operate authorized public-data collection with current Bright Data contracts. It separates proxy-zone credentials from REST API keys, uses the current Browser API name and Web Scraper snapshot lifecycle, and places policy, cost, data, and rollback controls around every live operation.

The skills are evidence-first. Offline fixtures are the default for development and CI, live checks are bounded and independently protected, and collected data crosses quarantine and schema validation before reaching a consumer or delivery destination.

Installation

/plugin install brightdata-pack@claude-code-plugins-plus

Delivery and Operations

Current Public Contracts

  • Native proxy access uses a zone username and password; REST API access uses a named-user API key.
  • Browser API is the current name for the former Scraping Browser product.
  • Web Scraper asynchronous work uses /datasets/v3/trigger, /datasets/v3/progress/SNAPSHOT_ID, and /datasets/v3/snapshot/SNAPSHOT_ID.
  • Snapshot destination delivery uses /datasets/v3/deliver/SNAPSHOT_ID.
  • Current proxy diagnostics use Proxy-Status, x-brd-err-code, x-brd-error, and x-brd-err-msg.
  • Bright Data publishes an official Python SDK.
  • The Acceptable Use Policy and the application's approved target manifest are hard boundaries.

Each skill includes a dated references/official-docs.md receipt linking the first-party contracts it applies.

Before you install

  • Read the whole file first. Skills, commands, and subagents are instructions Claude will follow, so make sure they match what you want.
  • Check which tools, scripts, or MCP servers it uses. Local servers and scripts run with your permissions.
  • Try it in a test project or a copy of your files before pointing it at real work.
  • Pin the version you tested, and review changes before updating.
  • Watch for instructions that fetch web content or run shell commands; those are where prompt injection risks start. See our prompt injection guide.
