What Linear Pack is

Linear Pack is a plugin published in the jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace repository on GitHub, which has about 2.8k stars. The repository describes itself as: “Model-agnostic agent-skills platform with a harness-free canonical layer, verified adapters, and the ccpi package manager. Explore at tonsofskills.com.”

A plugin is a package that bundles skills, slash commands, subagents, hooks, and MCP connectors so they install together. Plugins are plain files with a manifest at .claude-plugin/plugin.json, and they work in both Claude Code and Claude Cowork.

Installing Linear Pack adds everything it ships in one step. Connectors inside a plugin still need to be connected separately, and hooks and subagents only run in Cowork and Claude Code, not in regular chat.

What this pack does

The pack covers the full integration lifecycle without treating copied snippets as production proof. Every skill establishes the current Linear contract, least-privilege authentication, mutation approval boundaries, redaction rules, verification evidence, and a rollback or reconciliation path.

The guidance was checked against Linear's first-party documentation on 2026-09-11. Dynamic facts such as SDK releases, GraphQL schema fields, OAuth scopes, plan entitlements, and rate-limit headers must be rechecked before a production change.

Skills

Verified baseline

  • GraphQL endpoint: https://api.linear.app/graphql
  • Personal-key header: Authorization:
  • OAuth header: Authorization: Bearer
  • API-key limits: 2,500 requests and 3,000,000 complexity points per user/hour
  • OAuth limits: 5,000 requests and 2,000,000 complexity points per user or app user/hour
  • Maximum single-query complexity: 10,000 points
  • Webhook verification: HMAC-SHA256 over the exact raw body
  • Webhook delivery: HTTP 200 within five seconds; failed attempts retry after one minute, one hour, and six hours
  • Official TypeScript SDK: @linear/sdk; npm reported 95.0.0 and Node.js >=18.x on the review date

Safety model

The skills do not authorize credentials, OAuth apps, team access, production mutations, webhook administration, imports, exports, SCIM changes, audit streaming, diagnostic transmission, or commercial changes. Those operations remain explicit owner-approved boundaries.

Before you install

  • Read the whole file first. Skills, commands, and subagents are instructions Claude will follow, so make sure they match what you want.
  • Check which tools, scripts, or MCP servers it uses. Local servers and scripts run with your permissions.
  • Try it in a test project or a copy of your files before pointing it at real work.
  • Pin the version you tested, and review changes before updating.
  • Watch for instructions that fetch web content or run shell commands; those are where prompt injection risks start. See our prompt injection guide.
