What Mistral Pack is

Mistral Pack is a plugin published in the jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace repository on GitHub, which has about 2.8k stars. The repository describes itself as: “Model-agnostic agent-skills platform with a harness-free canonical layer, verified adapters, and the ccpi package manager. Explore at tonsofskills.com.”

A plugin is a package that bundles skills, slash commands, subagents, hooks, and MCP connectors so they install together. Plugins are plain files with a manifest at .claude-plugin/plugin.json, and they work in both Claude Code and Claude Cowork.

Installing Mistral Pack adds everything it ships in one step. Connectors inside a plugin still need to be connected separately, and hooks and subagents only run in Cowork and Claude Code, not in regular chat.

This pack turns Mistral's first-party contracts into bounded operator workflows. It keeps credentials server-side, reads mutable model, billing, and workspace-limit facts from current evidence, distinguishes stable and Public Preview surfaces, and requires explicit approval for spend, uploads, stateful resources, administration, deployment, and deletion.

Installation

/plugin install mistral-pack@claude-code-plugins-plus

Current Contract

  • REST base: https://api.mistral.ai
  • Authentication: server-side Authorization: Bearer
  • Chat: POST /v1/chat/completions
  • Embeddings: POST /v1/embeddings
  • Workflows event stream: GET /v1/workflows/events/stream over SSE
  • Stateful and Public Preview APIs are isolated behind explicit risk and data-lifecycle decisions.
  • Models, prices, context limits, quotas, and plan features are read from current first-party and account evidence; this pack intentionally does not freeze them in a table.
  • Current ZDR eligibility is operation-specific. Stateful products and APIs require separate retention review.

Skills

Every skill includes a dated local map of current Mistral sources. Recheck it before relying on a mutable endpoint schema, model, price, quota, preview label, or retention promise.

Safety Defaults

  • Invocation alone never authorizes live calls, paid usage, uploads, state creation, role or billing changes, deployment, cancellation, or deletion.
  • Untrusted pull requests and required offline tests never receive MISTRAL_API_KEY.
  • Receipts exclude credentials, prompts, responses, embeddings, files, tool payloads, and personal billing data.
  • The model can propose an action, but trusted application code owns authorization and side effects.
  • Provider recovery is incomplete until queues, files, jobs, runs, conversations, and application state converge.

Before you install

  • Read the whole file first. Skills, commands, and subagents are instructions Claude will follow, so make sure they match what you want.
  • Check which tools, scripts, or MCP servers it uses. Local servers and scripts run with your permissions.
  • Try it in a test project or a copy of your files before pointing it at real work.
  • Pin the version you tested, and review changes before updating.
  • Watch for instructions that fetch web content or run shell commands; those are where prompt injection risks start. See our prompt injection guide.
