What OCR: Post is
OCR: Post is a slash command published in the spencermarx/open-code-review repository on GitHub, which has about 369 stars. The repository describes itself as: “AI-powered multi-agent code review. Simulates a customizable team of Engineers performing code review with built-in discourse.”
A slash command is a reusable prompt saved as a markdown file and run by typing its name after a slash. In Claude Code, custom commands have been merged into skills: a file in .claude/commands/ and a skill folder in .claude/skills/ both create the same kind of command, and existing command files keep working.
OCR: Post gives you a repeatable way to run the same instructions without retyping them, optionally with arguments.
How to install OCR: Post
Claude Code
- Download post.md from the repository.
- Save it to ~/.claude/commands/ (all projects) or .claude/commands/ (one project). As a skill, you can instead save it as ~/.claude/skills/<name>/SKILL.md.
- Run it by typing / followed by its name.
Claude Cowork
- Turn the command into a skill: create a folder with the file saved as SKILL.md and zip it.
- In Customize → Skills, click +, then upload the ZIP.
- Run it from any task with / and the skill name.
New to extending Cowork? Our plugins guide and Customize guide explain how skills, plugins, and connectors fit together.
Inside the source file

Usage
/ocr-post [session] [--human-translated-review <path>]Arguments
- session (optional): Session ID to post. Defaults to most recent.
- --human-translated-review (optional): Explicit path to a human-translated review file to post instead of final.md.
Prerequisites
- GitHub CLI (gh) must be installed and authenticated
- Must be on a branch with an open PR
Steps
- Verify gh is available and authenticated
- Find the PR for current branch
- Determine current round from ocr state show -> current_round (or enumerate rounds/ directory)
- Select the review content to post (in priority order): a. If --human-translated-review is provided, use that file b. Otherwise, check if rounds/round-{current_round}/final-human.md exists -- if yes, prefer it c. Fall back to rounds/round-{current_round}/final.md
- Post as PR comment via gh pr comment
Convention Over Configuration
When no --human-translated-review flag is given, the post command automatically checks for a human-translated review before falling back to the raw synthesized review. This means if you've run /ocr-translate-review-to-single-human beforehand, the translated version is picked up without any extra flags.
The explicit --human-translated-review flag overrides this auto-detection and lets you point to any arbitrary file.
Reference
- Run /ocr-translate-review-to-single-human to generate a human-voice translation before posting
- Run /ocr-doctor to check GitHub CLI status
Before you install
- Read the whole file first. Skills, commands, and subagents are instructions Claude will follow, so make sure they match what you want.
- Check which tools, scripts, or MCP servers it uses. Local servers and scripts run with your permissions.
- Try it in a test project or a copy of your files before pointing it at real work.
- Pin the version you tested, and review changes before updating.
- Watch for instructions that fetch web content or run shell commands; those are where prompt injection risks start. See our prompt injection guide.
