What Runway Pack is

Runway Pack is a plugin published in the jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace repository on GitHub, which has about 2.8k stars. The repository describes itself as: “Model-agnostic agent-skills platform with a harness-free canonical layer, verified adapters, and the ccpi package manager. Explore at tonsofskills.com.”

A plugin is a package that bundles skills, slash commands, subagents, hooks, and MCP connectors so they install together. Plugins are plain files with a manifest at .claude-plugin/plugin.json, and they work in both Claude Code and Claude Cowork.

Installing Runway Pack adds everything it ships in one step. Connectors inside a plugin still need to be connected separately, and hooks and subagents only run in Cowork and Claude Code, not in regular chat.

Inside the source file

An excerpt from plugins/saas-packs/runway-pack/.claude-plugin/plugin.json, shared under the repository's MIT license. Read the full file on GitHub.

> Eighteen operator-grade Claude Code skills for Runway Dev authentication, model-aware media generation, asynchronous task operations, cost and capacity controls, security, deployment, and incident response.

Scope

This pack covers the public Runway Dev API at https://api.dev.runwayml.com, the official Node and Python SDKs, direct model and Model Router workflows, task retrieval and cancellation, input media, temporary outputs, usage tiers, moderation, and production operations.

It does not claim that the consumer Runway application and Runway Dev share credentials or credits. It also does not claim native generation-completion webhooks: runway-webhooks-events shows how to turn authoritative task polling into an internal event or a service-owned signed callback.

Installation

/plugin install runway-pack@claude-code-plugins-plus

Skills

Contract principles

  • Resolve model fields from the current model-specific API schema; do not copy ratios or durations across models.
  • Persist the provider task ID before waiting, and never treat task creation as completion.
  • Treat THROTTLED as queued work and a timeout as a stopped wait—not provider cancellation.
  • Copy successful outputs to owned storage before their temporary URLs expire.
  • Use current first-party pricing and usage evidence rather than hard-coded cost tables.
  • Keep RUNWAYML_API_SECRET, customer media, unsafe prompts, and signed URLs out of public artifacts.

Every skill includes a dated references/official-docs.md with first-party links and split SHA-256 retrieval fingerprints.

Before you install

  • Read the whole file first. Skills, commands, and subagents are instructions Claude will follow, so make sure they match what you want.
  • Check which tools, scripts, or MCP servers it uses. Local servers and scripts run with your permissions.
  • Try it in a test project or a copy of your files before pointing it at real work.
  • Pin the version you tested, and review changes before updating.
  • Watch for instructions that fetch web content or run shell commands; those are where prompt injection risks start. See our prompt injection guide.
